Canary Islands Spring 2025
Flow State
In this week-long retreat container we’ll cultivate practices that allow us to tap into that elusive flow state of mind. I’ll be bringing together pranayama (breath work), movement, meditation and relaxation practices to help build a sense of fluidity between body and mind. We’ll learn to move beyond distractions towards a place that exists within each of us: a place where time slows down, our senses are heightened and we are at one with the task at hand, as action and awareness synchronise to create an effortless momentum. All this within the truly sensational setting of a volcanic desert island paradise rich in cultural history, and with me, your local island guide.
4th - 10th May 2025
The Yoga.
Morning practice will begin with an energising pranayama (breath work) method, followed by a short meditation, which will give us the focus we need to move through a flowing Yang Yoga sequence that accommodates for all experience levels.
Following on from class I will be leading optional workshops that encompass either practical and/or philosophical ideas around yoga and well-being.
Our evening practice will centre around Yin Yoga, but may also include Somatic movement, Yoga Nidra and more.
On our last full day, we’ll combine both classes into a longer practice, which will allow us to enjoy an outing and experience some island magic.
The accommodation.
Our venue sits on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Atlantic ocean within a calmly secluded cove of Lanzarote. The laid back charm and lush gardens of Casa Punto Dolfin will provide the perfect backdrop for a week of yoga, sunshine and relaxation.
The house gives us direct access to the ocean and the nearby beach. The indoor and outdoor Shalas will accommodate our yoga practice regardless of the weather.
The house itself is split into three ground floor apartments, each with their own perks and plenty of spaces for lounging, communing and relaxing.
The Island.
Often referred to as the 'Island of Eternal Spring,' Lanzarote forms part of the Canary Islands archipelago located off the North-West coast of Africa.
It is known for its beautiful beaches, its awe-inspiring volcanic landscape and, its unique food and wine culture. It has been home to world-renowned artists, writers, musicians, ancient warriors and civilisations alike - all of whom found their inspiration here.
