Oceana demonstrates a standing side bend yoga pose on a rooftop.

I’m a yoga teacher and somatic practitioner based in London, dedicated to guiding others toward deeper body awareness, movement exploration, and self-inquiry.

I grew up on a volcanic desert island off the coast of Africa within a creative household that nurtured my natural inclination towards curiosity, playfulness, and experimentation. This foundation continues to shape how I engage with and share the traditions of yoga, meditation, and somatic practices—blending a deep respect for lineage with a spirit of exploration.

After nearly a decade of personal exploration I felt the need to dive deeper into my practice by joining Yogacampus’ foundational teacher training. During this time I met my teacher Yogiraj Katrina Repka. Under her guidance, I was introduced to the ISHTA Yoga lineage (Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra & Ayurveda), expanding my understanding of ‘subtle body’ anatomy, pranayama (breathwork), and yogic philosophy.

My current interest lies in exploring the intersections between yogic concepts around subtle body and, how somatic movement might provide tangible, embodied ways of exploring these more elusive parts of ourselves. My hope is that finding more accessible ways of expanding our sensory awareness and developing our ability to introspect will empower us to form stronger connections between the physical, mental and emotional parts of ourselves in meaningful ways.
